Happy Capybara pays its writers, prints on real paper, and runs no ads. The math on that only works because of members. Membership is $4 a month or $40 a year, and it gets you:

  • Every story we publish online, including members-only fiction (currently: The Patience of Floods).
  • The digital edition of each new issue, DRM-free, before it's on sale.
  • Your name in the print colophon, if you want it there.
  • The warm certainty that a small press exists partly because of you.

Print subscribers get all of the above automatically — paper is the premium tier and always will be.
